Changes in the regulations relating to the assessment for Business Rates make full decommissioning of buildings a viable option where the rental market turns down. Buildings can be zero rated where all of the non structural elements are removed and the building is therefore incapable of being put into beneficial use. Squibb Group will undertake this decommissioning work.
