The company has nurtured a culture for the prevention of injuries and ill health amongst employees, sub-contractors and others affected by our work activities. Essential to this policy is the management of risk. Assessments are made and acted upon at every stage of the business process.

People are our key resource. Accordingly we support all initiatives which make our working environment a safer place. We take the utmost care to employ best practise in terms of equipment and materials as part of any process undertaken.

Squibb Group currently employ a full time training manager to keep the company one step ahead in training requirements.

We maintain up to the minute modern training facilities in a dedicated lecture room at our head office. Courses for up to 15 people at a time are run using outside lecturers from recognised training sources such as the CITB and St Johns Ambulance. Courses are also organised by Squibb Group's retained Safety Consultants. This ensures that all of our workforce have the necessary skills to carry out their tasks correctly and safely and are holders of all necessary training certificates.

Squibb Group recognises that skills and training are vital to maintaining value in the business and we are a committed investor in people, recognised when receiving the London East Training and Enterprise Council “INVESTOR IN PEOPLE” award in 2001.
