GROSVENOR CRESCENT - LONDON, SW1
The regency style crescent of eight houses in London’s Belgravia is being converted into luxury apartments.
Squibb Demolition, in conjunction with their structural engineers and the contractor developed a method statement and programme for the temporary support system and selective demolition required to reconfigure the buildings. The project undertook the identification and removal of asbestos, and soft stripping the buildings that had been used as offices. The slate roof was carefully removed and the slates reused in a reconfigured roof. Various internal partitions and structural walls, together with the lift shafts were demolished in compliance with the agreed sequence. The arisings were removed by conveyor to first floor gantry level prior to loading away.
