GLAXO SMITH KLINE - DARTFORD
The GlaxoSmithKline site in Dartford had been used for many years as a pharmaceutical manufacturing site and many buildings had extensively contaminated equipment.
Squibb Group's contract was to clean the pipework and vessels prior to cutting them up and removing them. The buildings were also contaminated with asbestos, which was identified and removed. The structures were then demolished to ground slab level. All the arisings were crushed and removed from site.
The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is heavily regulated and to comply with the clients stipulations and regulatory procedures, all work was recorded and dated.
