Cane Hill Hospital
The former mental hospital in Surrey was bought from the NHS by English Partnerships with a view to demolition and redevelopment of the 83 hectare site as a science park or as a mixed living/working/recreational site.
Won in competitive tender, the project consists of the decontamination and demolition of a series of Victorian, brick built, structures, whilst retaining certain locally listed buildings such as the chapel, the administration block and the water tower, which is a local landmark.
One of the largest demolitions undertaken by Squibb Demolition, the project will be completed in September 2010
